Selecting, organizing, and tending to collections, archives, and exhibitions, at Digital Junkanoo we center the ephemera of carnivals. How do these objects defy and define the archival process? Carnival time and museum time intersect in our studio where non-linear cyclic time sets the pace of our curatorial collaboration.

From formal religion occasions to ritual observances, at Digital Junkanoo we are developing programming and exhibitions that explore analog and digital forms and aesthetics relating to public arenas of reveling and worship.

Sonic archives and engineering are at the heart of Digital Junkanoo. Technologies of the diaspora resonate with a pulse that shakes dance floors. We turn to the homegrown expertise of Black scientific knowledge and mechanics of sound hardware.
